Racing at Runnymede Hall (Tuesday evenings)

All levels of driving ability are welcome, and drivers of similar ability are grouped together. The number of drivers determines the number of racing heats covering: -
  • Standard saloons
  • modified saloons
  • mini-stox
  • 12th scale (occasionally)
  • Racing consists of three rounds (races) for each heat(racing group).
There is no time for a 'final', but your position in your two best heats determines the group in which you race the following week - so you should always be racing with drivers of similar ability.

The same results are used to determine points for a 11 week Championship League (club members only).

Trophies are awarded at the end of each league.

The track is marked out with ropes laid on carpet. A different design every week - but usually includes a long fast section and a more twisty 'in-field' section. The hall stage provides a good view of the track for the drivers. Tables are available within the hall to be used as pit stations - but you must bring a protective covering (preferably heat resistant)

If you bring a 12 volt battery, it must be placed in a strong container to avoid spillage damage.

Doors open at 7pm, racing starts by 8pm and is usually finished by 10.30pm. All assistance in laying out the track and putting it away afterwards is most welcome.

    Limited refreshments are available.
Colin Bliss brings a comprehensive supply of parts with him from his model shop.

    Come along and enjoy yourself!
