What you need to know

  The process:
'Book in' as soon as possible after 7pm if not pre-booked.
Race fees will be collected separately.
Check the race list as soon as it is produced and note your heat number and start position (car number).
Your car needs a transponder to be recognised by the race timing equipment. Collect the transponder with the same number as the start position car number a few minutes before the race is due to start, and fix it to your car (usually through a hole in the car body shell and a clip to hold it in place).
When the previous race has finished, put the car on the start line and select a position on the stage for a good view of the track.

Cars start the race at 1 second intervals when the computer calls the car number, and race against the clock -  not the other cars. Each race lasts 5 minutes, and finishes when the computer calls the car numbers again.

At the end of the race, the timing system decides the winner according to the number of laps completed and the time taken to reach the start/finish line for the last time.

After the race, the driver must return the transponder to the central rack and go to the marshal point with the same number as the driver's start position car number.
The marshal must watch the area of track around the marshal position (not the race) and 'recover' cars which have stopped or become stuck.

For a car to be 'recovered', it must be returned to the track quickly -  but the marshal should not endanger themselves or the other cars by 'rushing' onto the track.

After marshalling is complete, the driver may return to their pit station and prepare their car for the next race.
