Schumacher BTCC - 30 May 2004

The weather was kind: The drivers were good humoured (mostly): and from comments made at the time and since, it appears that everybody enjoyed themselves!
We were certainly pleased to see such a good turnout (over 100 drivers) and although it was a bit of a squeeze in the car park, with the steady hand of Ray Cockman at the race computer, everything went smoothly for an early finish.
We were treated to the novel experience of being "buzzed" by a variety of aircraft from The Southend Airshow.
A bonus, but sometimes a distraction - we were glad to be "on their side".
